SYO Ensembles

SYO offers six different ensemble settings:

Full Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles, Handbell Choir, Jazz Ensemble, Ukulele Ensemble, and Adaptive Percussion Ensemble.

Full Symphony Orchestra includes; strings, woodwinds (including saxophones!), brass, and percussion. 

Chamber Ensembles are smaller break-out groups such as a brass quintet or string ensemble. All Full Symphony Orchestra participants are placed in a Chamber Ensemble.

Handbell Choir includes musicians from all music abilities and instrument backgrounds. No previous handbell experience required! 

Jazz Ensemble members play standard jazz repertoire and learn how to improvise. No previous jazz experience required and all instruments welcome!

Ukulele Ensemble includes musicians from all music abilities and instrument backgrounds. No previous ukulele experience required! 

Adaptive Percussion Ensemble is for musicians of all ages and abilities! Members will play standard percussion ensemble repertoire using instruments from around the world. SYO provides adaptive instruments and music upon request.
